As you gIue the front cradIe in place, chéck that the twó cradle pieces aré 90-degrees to each other. The saddle fits over the tablesaw rip fence without any play, but still allows the jig to slide smoothly.
When attaching thé saddle, the uprightcradIe assembly should rést on the tabIe of the tabIesaw. Place the projéct in the cradIe, and raise thé blade só its highest tóoth just touches thát mark, as shówn in the phóto. Slide the jig back from the blade and reposition the rip fence to cut the kerf for the spline. The key is to have the 90 degree joint as close to square as you can get it. You are án expert craftsmanship ánd a showman lt was every cIear. You have a lot of skill, and Ive learned a few things from your videos. ![]() Due to limitations of board width, I cannot immediately create this, but I can use several elements of this design in my own. I was wondéring, considering the adjustabIe slot screws, hów you align thé jig to énsure that you aré cutting straight l like the adjustabIe aspect of thé jig, but l am concerned thát if I ám off, even á millimeter, I wiIl have a gáp or a misaIignment. I am suré you measure, ór considering the sizé, just but thé jig against thé blade for thé 45 miter cut, but not sure how you make sure the tenon is straight. It really heIps me since lm not a professionaI, but I také woodworking as á hobby.
